Missing my Cricket girl so much. She crossed over the rainbow bridge on Monday. It was a whirlwind of a day and the circumstances were totally not expected. Thank you Cricket for loving me unconditionally and for being my world for the past 10 years.

So sad to hear this news. Praying for his family.

Building a classroom community is something that’s constant. Ss wanted music to listen to so I created a @Spotify classroom playlist for each class. Ss tell me their favorite song and I put it on there. They enjoy hearing their song & each other’s @JoelMPeterson @TheNMSWildcats

Love these ideas for potential roles in a group project or activity! ❤️❤️❤️

Treaty of Versailles skit today! The Big Four and some ambassadors made up all the parts for the skit. The kids LOVED this activity and begged to run through it multiple times so more kids could volunteer for different parts in the skit ❤️

Introduced DBQs to my 6th graders today. They did so well! DBQs don’t have to be scary for teachers or the students. Have faith in your students and it’s all about your approach. They will totally suppose you every single time! #thinklikeahistorian

This is amazing! @ajc @FOX5Atlanta Please make this a story! We need good stories and this is in our own backyard. This is amazing that she is going this at her school. @jasminecrowe you are a community changer❤️❤️❤️

Tomorrow I’m opening my first grocery store in a Title One school. I doubt I sleep tonight - imagine a parent between checks who can order dinner and breakfast for their family thru our app and their child bring it home. I’m changing lives man, no one does it like me. Just wait!

Teachers, how do you get your students to remember to do their work? I make silly reminder videos like this and they love then AND they turn in their work. It’s a win-win! 😂

Today I played 12 different audio files of different European languages being spoken. The students loved guessing which language was which and this nicely tied in the conversation of language diversity and language groups ❤️

Teachers, do you allow your students to take notes in the way that suits them best? My students tried out Cornell notes, Mind Mapping, Outline notes and Sketch noting. Students figured out their preferred note-taking style. Here are some student mind mapping examples

Can’t wait to stain these letters with tea, burn the edges and then write each student’s name on one of the letters! House sorting ceremony is happening in class on Tuesday❤️ #HarryPotter #teacherlife
