4 KSU student-athletes were named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference Men's & Women's Track & Field teams


The Golden Flashes travel to Knoxville, Tenn., next weekend (April 13-16) to take part in the Sea Ray Relays.


Freshman Melissa Kurzdorfer (Lancaster, N.Y.) finished third in the women's discus throw with a toss of 155'-10" (47.51m).

Senior Kelly Gephart recorded the sixth-fast time in Kent State history in the women's 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:19.34.


Junior Rob Falchi (Winmalee, Australia) won the men's long jump with a leap of 24'-01.75" (7.36m).


The men's 4x100-meter relay team clocked a 41.51 to win the event.

Junior Kiplangat Tisia (Koibey, Kenya) finished second in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:07.60.


Junior Rob Falchi (Winmalee, Australia) took second in section I of the men's triple jump with a leap of 47'-9" (14.55m).


Redshirt junior Kim Preston (Greenville, Ohio) won section II of the women's pole vault with a height of 11'-11.75" (3.65m)


Fifth-year senior Matthew Pfleger (Garrettsville, Ohio) won the men's hammer throw with a toss of 200'-5" (61.10)


Freshman Melissa Kurzdorfer (Lancaster, N.Y.) won the women's hammer throw with a school-record toss of 193'-6" (58.99m).
