All-Ireland club hurling champions Na Fianna are out, losing 1-21 to 2-17 to Wexford champions St Martin's.

RIP 'Nudie' Hughes Generational footballer Allstar attacker and defender And a wonderful character

Finished out the 1990 All-Ireland final with a torn cruciate ligament. An 'iron man,' as resilient as there is. Great to see him getting about again. independent.ie/sport/gaelic-g…

Kilkenny title No.21 for Shamrocks Ballyhale makes them the county's most successful club, now one ahead of Tullaroan. Remarkable for a club only in existence since 1972. Almost 1 every 2.5 years, on average! For TJ Reid, a 12th title.

Padraig O'Hora and Lee Keegan collide in 15th minute of Mayo final between Ballina and Westport and unfortunately both have to be helped off and will play no further part. No holding back there.

The wait is over in Clare for Éire Óg, Ennis. A first Clare senior hurling title in 35 years. 0-17 to 0-12 winners over Clooney Quin. David Reidy with four crucial second half points.

Andy Moran and Colm Boyle two of Mayo's most valued and popular players of any era. Paddy Tally brings much experience.

#BREAKING - Andy Moran is to be proposed as the new Mayo football manager and will have the former Derry manager Paddy Tally as part of his backroom team. buff.ly/75rySKU

When this last happened for a year, 2014, players from the other four counties boycotted the McGrath Cup and made themselves unavailable for Munster. No McGrath Cup or inter-pros now. But some other reaction likely.

Kerry and Cork to be on opposite sides of Munster SFC draw following format changes @KeysColm buff.ly/TUDI0ui

A fifth All-Ireland senior title for Jack O'Connor, plus two All-Ireland minor, 1 All-Ireland U21. A fifth 'Jack slam' - league/championship double. Phenomenal manager over three decades now.

The coronation complete for David Clifford. A second All-Ireland medal and a third 'footballer of the year' award now awaits in four years. 8-62 in the championship.

Cork's full-forward line held to just three points from play. Magnificent from Robert Doyle, Michael Breen and especially Ronan Maher on Brian Hayes. And the redemption of Darragh McCarthy. Stunning Tipp victory.

Fitting end for Tipp with Noel McGrath landing that last point. What a turnaround. From half-time. And from where they were last year.

The strange dynamic of so many people not wanting to see the country's favourite athlete go again. Katie Taylor has done enough, her life's work complete. This is the perfect off ramp.

Donegal crush Meath 3-26 to 0-15 to set up a 2014 All-Ireland final renewal. Their relentless running power was really impressive and will be a serious threat to Kerry.

Joe O'Connor wouldn't be out of place at inside centre down in Australia. Powerful performance going forward and getting back. Now a real 'footballer of the year' prospect. Along with the obvious!

Paudie Clifford made a clear second half impact for Kerry. David Clifford really came into it. But Joe O'Connor switching wings and then getting him into the middle such a crucial difference.

Kerry have set the highest 2025 bar now. Brilliant 2nd half, beyond Donegal's yesterday. 16 points ( 3 two-pointers) from 20 second half shots. 0-14 without reply in 15 minutes.

Dublin, Kerry and Galway, the top three on the All-Ireland roll of honour, all beaten by the same team in a championship season for the first time ever. Some performance from Meath. Jordan Morris with 1-6 unplayable.
