Best news of the day! Undead 4EVER 🧛
KU remains committed to making Open Access easy and accessible to everyone, and we are excited to do so together with the Wiley team bit.ly/3d9osuW
Let's give some love to the unsavory types at @WileyGlobal! newsroom.wiley.com/press-releases…

I remember @piotrr70 highlighting the challenge of critical editions on a flight to DC pre-pandemic. A challenge reinforced by the thoughtful work of @NHPRC. So I'm super proud of the amazing work by @fulcrumpub colleagues to bring Lafayette's "first modern French novel" to life.

CAPITALIST PRIDE! 😍💸🤑
Look at all the anti-capitalists taking off their open access costumes in the QTs
Throwback Thursday!
KU continues its vigorous effort to catch up to Elsevier in the coveted "top asshole in scholcomm" race, this time with an initiative named to create confusion with @ScholarLed, a genuine scholar-centered #OpenAccess initiative.
Reposting this as a friendly reminder: @KUnlatched
Behold our new "Research Library." Easy access to pilfered open access content (that we make money with) categorized by stock photo! #LibraryTwitter DON'T👏LOOK👏ANY👏FURTHER👏FOR👏#OpenAccess
The @scholarlykitchn truly shows depth, knowledge, and insight. OA is expensive. Let's keep it expensive! Let's make it *more* expensive! Whoooooo!!!
"@KUnlatched has thus positioned @OpenResearchLib as the *go-to* platform for all OA books and plans to expand its offerings with research videos(!!!) and posters(!!!) soon." YASSSS, that's right! Research videos & posters, the lifeblood of scholcomm! #LibraryTwitter #OpenAccess
@svenfund gave an interview to @noshelfrequired about The Making of the Open Research Library, Scholarly Community’s First Attempt To Unify Open Access Book Content. #openaccess #sharing #hosting buff.ly/2ZqOuky
RIGHT! Before you know it, they'll claim also #OpenAccess should break down "patriarchy," "white supremacy," and "capitalism." Not on our watch! #LibraryTwitter #OpenScience

This @ScholarLed blog post is so long and boring… Don't read it and come join us at @KUnlatched @OpenResearchLib where we're ready to monopolize and rent-seek until you're blue in the face! blog.scholarled.org/open-research-…
Authors' wishes are irrelevant once a book is #OpenAccess. If they really had a choice (but publishers are not letting them have any), they would all choose our preferred licence CC-BY (or should we say: CC-BUY!)
Indeed we are doing nothing "erratically." There is a clear plan forward to consolidate the entire #OpenAccess book market underneath a single "neutral" (but for profit!) player. #LibraryTwitter
1. Sven Fund of @KUnlatched (2017): "at KU we see our role as really creating breadth of content. We believe that OA publishing through KU should be building collections & not erratically unlatching a title here and a journal article there and so on." #OpenAccess #Libraries
Did you summon me, @charleswatkinso? I do savor the brains of the high and mighty overlords of academic publishing more than anything else. Please, tell me more about the irrelevance of "values stuff," I'm keeping notes for my new platform. #OpenAccess #LibraryTwitter
There is nothing constructive in the approach taken by whoever is behind @KnowledgeUndead. It offers no useful suggestions to KU about how they might improve their offering, unlike Rupert's OBP post which does. It feels like the tactics of the playground not the academy.
