#persevere this is like test scores in your GPA. It matters a lot in your recruiting ratings equation. Are you physically AND mentally agile? Do you have genuine grit and drive to succeed despite and through adversity?
As an athlete, be prepared to face failure many times in your career. You will be overlooked. You will be doubted. You will be rejected. You will suffer from slumps and injuries. But you must stay positive and persevere until you succeed!
PLAYERS: Refuse to be mediocre. Don't do things that "everybody else" is doing. Rise above the rest. Average means you're just as close to the bottom as you are the top. Find ways to be different. Find ways to be better. Do more than is expected of you. Find ways to be valuable.

I’m happy I don’t sit in the stands during our games. Hearing parents rip apart coaching decisions is brutal. I promise they’re doing their best - they really want to win, too. Hard for athletes to trust their coaches if they hear negative rhetoric from the people they love most.
When talking to athletes and they ask “coach, do you really watch our livestreams?” The answer is yes, 100%. Especially if you are high on our radar. With that being said, make sure you are giving 100% in everything you do. You just never know.
