We have 8 fire engines and several special appliances in attendance at a Recycling Centre/Scrap Metal Yard on Ulverscroft Road in Leicester. Multiple calls being received due to large smoke plume which can be seen across the city.

Yesterday morning our crews were called to Birstall to find a kitten trapped between two walls. They rescued the nameless kitten and it and was sent to a local vet for care. If you find an animal in distress, always contact the appropriate animal welfare organisation.
