In 3C children have been learning the column method of addition using 3 digits. We found that practical apparatus and working in pairs really helped us with our learning.

Today in 3C children were learning about homophones. It was a new word to them. However children worked really hard in table groups to match the homophones and were really proud of their achievements.

Today in Kingfishers we have been looking at people who help us. We looked at what firepeople do ? What they wear and why ? We enjoyed painting fire engines.

In 2D children have been looking at patterns in the hundred square. We have found out how to add and take away 1 and 100. We used dice to generate our numbers.

Year 2 came to kingfisher class in reception this afternoon. It was so exciting. They brought to show us their fabulous cars that they had made. We all played with the cars together.
