Thank you Nigel from Steel & Alloy @Gonvarri for a fabulous donation to @SWBHnhs children's ward relocating to @MidlandMetUH this year, received by our HCA Jas! Their support will help us host play areas & create engaging displays in waiting areas for our young patients
Proud to have won the quality improvement prize @swbhnhs for our project placing medical students in primary schools in deprived areas to help them see the impact of deprivation and diversity on education and health, as well as improve aspirations of local children. It worked!
The Y3 MBChB School Placement initiative won 1st prize in the @SWBHnhs QIHD poster competition. @drnickmakwana and Anna McKay looked thrilled to be collecting the prize. Well done everyone .....especially all the local primary school who host @unibirmingham Medical students!

Andy’s left his toys in Sandwell! This week our children’s ward celebrated Play In Hospital Week, with a visit from Woody and Jessie. They spent the afternoon with the children and staff on the ward, highlighting the importance of playing and dancing! #PlayinHospitalWeek

Great work @kierannn_98. I spotted the new screen earlier this week and found it an useful way to signpost facilities to patients, carers & staff. Coming into a healthcare setting for patients can be confusing 🤔 or emotional 😭, so any support to orientation is welcome 🤗
