interestingly we worked closely w/nursing scholar Patricia Benner as an advisor to @LPI_Project. She writes about nurses having a "clinical imagination" which is a parallel to #Pastoralimagination. Both are phronesis / practical wisdom. Her 2010 book: amazon.com/Educating-Nurs…

Having just interviewed 60+ clergy and lay leaders in the last two months, I can say YES again. Pastoral imagination is alive and well in pastors, chaplains, ministers, and lay leaders all over the US in a wide range of ministry settings. What a joy to have a front-row seat!
