If you work in any way adjacent or directly with overdoses, I strongly recommend having non verbal hobbies, disconnecting from social media, having a playlist of funny movies, and making time for walks and or physical exercise. Burnout and grief are killing the helpers.
Amazing harm reduction orgs like Indiana Recovery Alliance are doing their best to serve people who use drugs & combat the overdose epidemic, but they need stable funding. Ending the federal ban on funding for syringes would be a great 1st step. about.bgov.com/news/record-ov…
