Great to see our work explaining the mechanism of @Droplet @Freezing on @Superhydrophobic surfaces just published in @NaturePhysics. In addition we show how one can harvest this knowledge to design @icephobic surfaces.

Happy to share our recent work with @DimosPoulikakos in @NaturePhysics—how freezing can drive wetting transitions on surfaces. You may think that ice is slow but crank up the camera’s frame rate and there’s plenty of surprising physics to see from this seemingly basic process 🧵
