That's correct... Lot of @FTDIChip on market is fake one... One should be aware of this before making bulk purchase. I know FTDI has #FTDIgate to block such.. I never came across one so far.

I know this is very old thread. But if you're interested, checkout the wrapper library written for #FT4222 SPI #SerialCommunication communication here digiajay.com/products/labvi… .. I knew few people were successful in the #SPI Slave mode.
