Just a reminder: Jesus was a brown skinned baby born to a poor Jewish family who had to flee their country as refugees because of a tyrant king and were immigrants in Egypt until that king’s reign ended (Mt 2:13–23). Does our Christianity make room for people like him today?
Beware of any theology that keeps saying “God saved them” when the shooter misses and “thoughts and prayers” when they don’t, but never has the courage to ask “what is God asking that we do to prevent shootings from happening in the first place?”
