Thought on Genesis 24:5-6: When God has moved you to a new place or season in life, don’t go back looking for what you left behind.
A thought from Joshua 3:15-16: The mighty miracle didn’t happen until the priests’ feet actually touched the river’s edge. It is that first step in the dark—that first move in obedience—that releases His supernatural power. And the wonders begin.
A thought from 1 Samuel 23: David, in great stress, was not reluctant to “check signals” with the Lord to make sure he had heard God’s direction correctly. And God, for His part, was not reluctant to repeat His instructions.
Reflection on 1 Samuel 13: There are hinge points in life—singular moments on which the rest of life turns. Saul didn’t realize that he was at the hinge point. This is a reason to walk carefully in the Spirit. You may be approaching a hinge point and not be aware of it.
“No one should seek their own good, but the good of others.” (1 Coritnthians 10:24) This is a truth that needs to be re-learned every day of life.
A thought from Joshua 13:1-3: The Lord keeps a precise account of what we could achieve for Him and in Him—if we would.
From Acts 23. After the uproar, disputes, violence, disruptions, accusations, pain and fear, the Lord STANDS NEAR His servant in the night and says, “Take courage! You are right in the center of My plans.”
A thought from Matthew 17:24-27: The two-drachma coin in this passage was exactly enough. It wasn’t too much, it wasn’t too little and it arrived at the right time. Our Lord knows how to meet our precise needs at just the right time in our lives.
A thought on 3 John 12: It is one thing for people to speak kind words about you. It is another thing when people take note that your life aligns with the truth of God’s Word. When the Truth itself speaks well of you, that is best of all.
A thought from Jeremiah 38:14-19: King Zedekiah believed in the Lord enough to summon His prophet and seek His counsel—but not enough to follow that word! He feared men and his circumstances more than he feared God.
A thought on Psalm 37:23-24: The Lord walks with us through our starts, false starts and re-starts, if our heart’s desire is to follow Him.
A thought on Luke 22:10-12: If we obey the Holy Spirit, we may find ourselves walking into situations completely prepared for us, and tailor-made for what God wants us to accomplish.
Concerning Galatians 1:3-4: I am reminded today that the “present evil age” in this passage is also March 2022. Jesus gave Himself to rescue me from the evil in MY world—today, with all its subtleties and deceptions. He foresaw my precise need and made provision. Praise His Name.
A thought about Deuteronomy 3:1-2: When we face great obstacles and our fear begins to rise, that is the very moment to listen carefully for the Lord’s voice, speaking confidence and courage.
My Shepherd knows precisely, exactly—to within a hair’s breadth—where I am in my life right now, with all its layers and complexities, and where I should go in the next moments, days, and years.
Reflection on Job 40:3-5: Job had spoken passionately about all the things he would say to God if he ever had a chance to argue his case. But when he actually found himself in God’s presence, the arguments melted away. They no longer mattered.
Re. Acts 16:6-10: If I truly desire God’s will and listen for His voice, the Holy Spirit will make sure that I take the right turns...and keep me from blundering into the wrong ones.
A thought re. Acts 8:26-31: All Philip had to do was step into the flow of events God had already set in motion. Because he was obedient to the Lord’s angel, he ended up at the right place at the right time to make a strategic difference in the kingdom.
Re: Psalm 9:10: No matter who you are or where you are or what your circumstances, if you are seeking God through Christ you will NEVER be forsaken.
From Psalm 6: When there was no place to stand, no place to find any footing at all, David found a place to stand through sheer faith in the Lord his God. And life changed from that moment.
