Routing issues and network spikes being experienced currently. Engineers investigating.


Mail client connectivity restored to the few affected clients. This was due to an SSL cert being considered legacy ahead of expectation. All resolved.


Currently experience intermittent mail connection issues. Engineers working on it presently. Mail transport in and out of server is fine, it is client connection challenges mainly.


The nameserver in questions was one of several redundant instances as you would expect so null-routing that particular one stopped the attack in its tracks. This was just a flash in the pan compared to last weeks World's Largest DDoS To Date of 1.65 tbps (not pointed at us!) 2/2


Update on outage earlier this weekend - this was caused by a newly fashionable DDoS memcached amplication attack on one of the Data Centre nameservers. Result was packet-flood and reduced bandwidth for legit traffic... 1/2


Routing issue clearing - returning to full bandwidth. Monitoring stability currently.


Routing issues clearing, tentative estimate of return to full operation within a few minutes.


Currently dealing with an outage at the Datacentre -issues with sites on 82.148.227.x and 229.x - engineers in attendance. Further info as we get it.
