I thought I’d explain what happened today because I’m absolutely exhausted and tbh I think a light needs to be shone on this. Especially given so many people like me seem to experience the same thing.
Today is #OnlineLearningDay - I first experienced digital learning (it was pre-online) at 14 doing an NVQ at @StBedesScience that was created by @Thomas_Telford and sold on a CD-ROM (pre-DVD) to complete at school/home. Now I work in digital learning. share.vidyard.com/watch/CHoa9R4q…?

Not ‘new’ pedagogical concepts, but the appropriate existing pedagogical concepts. Remote digital learning is not new. It’s the bedrock of the largest university in the U.K. and has been for some time.

Check the health of your ego-system: - Can you laugh at yourself? - Do you identify and admit your own contributions to conflicts you have with others? - Are you happy for others who succeed without feeling jealous? - Do welcome feedback without becoming defensive?
My key take away from the 2020 L&D Global Sentiment Survey: Data dominates respondents' sentiment, but always remember the caveats. This is an aspiration. People can always misunderstand or interpret data, or they may simply be unable to use it. #GSS20
