Busy end to the week covering holiday on the team. Reflecting on this it’s amazing how much you can learn from taking on other peoples projects - even temporarily. People do things in different ways and often you can find more effective routes to the same goal. #todayilearned

#TodayILearned about #distancelearning in the 1840s. Isaac Pitman taught people shorthand by post. He sent texts in shorthand to students and they sent transcribed versions back to get feedback. Simple & ingenious! I wonder what Pitman would have made of #distancelearning today?
