and to get there you summon goathorse at any time and run past everything in between, including fights and encampments, across vast swathes of rather empty terrain elden ring's "open world" is holding forward until you find places with actual level design (which are great)
The elden ring open world is a constant feeling of "ooh whats that over there" that puts almost every other open world to shame honestly. Combined with the fact that the map we use actually functions and it just cant be beat
