Big news! Data from our joint project with @PEARL_Munk on measuring public opinion on AI is featured in the annual @StanfordHAI #AIIndex2024 (@indexingai). "Global Public Opinion on AI" was led by SRI Associate Director @PeejLoewen. Read all about it: uoft.me/ap8

If you have spoken with me in the past year I have probably overshared my excitement about my @UofT colleagues in the @UofTAstro. Dark matter! More data than on the internet! Super nice people!! So happy to see them featured @torontolife @reneehlozek torontolife.com/city/theres-al…

An excellent list! In the grant world, these translate broadly as being clear about what you will do, why and stating its significance for your (well defined) audience. Also a reminder of being clear in your own, writer’s mind about the logical relationship between sections.

Hey @DustinGrowick our 9-year-old has a question: when dinosaur bones get fossilized, do the bones shrink from their size when the dinosaur was alive? If yes, does that mean dinosaurs were bigger than their skeletons suggest?

I am ecstatic about #Canada’s goal but stop calling it the greatest moment in Canadian soccer @TSN_Sports #CanadianWomensSoccer #goldmedal

I hate being called Miss Slinger. Does anyone have good resources to share with others on how to engage with feminine-presenting people without reference to their marital status?

I told you so.

Experts in Ontario say fall colours in 2022 have been among the best witnessed in years. That's mainly due to unique weather patterns. 🍂 toronto.citynews.ca/2022/10/18/ont…

Grant writing often requires clearly stating the importance of information: of findings, of accomplishments. But I always wonder if the people I edit for giggle as much as I do at my insistence that they be more explicit.

😻Cat's out of the bag. I'm launching a research lab at @UofT_PolSci in @UofTArtSci—an international Indigenous politics research collaboratory. We're officially opening at the end of the month. AND...we're hiring! @UofT students, check out the ad below. Email me to apply.

🚨Communications Coordinator job! Are you an advanced @UofT student working in Indigenous Politics? Do you have a knack for creating engaging digital content? Possess knowledge of current and future social media trends? If so, this position might be a good fit for you!

Among the most heartbreaking sounds in the world: my two-year-old neighbour asking if his post-dinner play includes bubbles. Bahboose? … Bahboose?!? …BAHBOOSE!!?!?
