Good moment to remember that the US has imposed crushing unilateral sanctions on Venezuela since 2017, with the objective of strangling the economy. The sanctions killed 40,000 people in the first year.

Socialism has destroyed Venezuela - once one of the richest countries in Latin America. The Venezuelan people deserve the chance to rebuild their country - and America should stand ready to help them.

Happy to see the Marlins sign Pete Fairbanks. For national outlets and others saying the Fish are still “rebuilding,” this signing says otherwise. I expect more…

Here’s the 60 Minutes segment that CBS suddenly refused to air—after Trump criticized the show. Take a few minutes to watch what they didn’t want you to see. This story should be told:

“The United States has a rich history of overthrowing democracies around the world, and we have a rich history of siding with some of the world's biggest dictators. So this idea that we're out there protecting freedom & democracy, doesn't mesh with reality.” —John Mearsheimer

Happy for the Hurricanes and especially the Marlins fans friends of mine who root for them. I enjoyed watching their win today—especially Fletcher and Toney. Surprisingly entertaining despite the many miscues.

Columbia Prof. Jeff Sachs on US delusion: "The national security strategy of the US is that it is the most powerful country and should remain so by dictating terms to other countries. My critique is this is all a delusion... it's the kind of arrogance that leads to a downfall."

Warnock said it plainly: A nation that tolerates this level of violence year after year, in classrooms, on campuses, in random public spaces, isn’t just unsafe. It’s broken. And it’s in desperate need of moral repair.

Too early to judge the Marlins offseason. We all know that offseasons drag on. But this Morel signing will not be good if it replaces acquiring a better hitter. That still should be first priority. Then a bullpen arm, ideally Fairbanks.

Why is Christopher Morel a perfect reclamation project for the #Marlins? Let’s compare these two savant pages. On the left: Christopher Morel 2025 On the right: Kyle Stowers 2024 Both struggled with high velocity pitches and crushed off speed, too.

Sure, AI is driving up electricity costs, poisoning our water, rotting everyone’s brains, and stealing jobs, but have you considered it might make 5 people richer than gods?

since 2000, MLB has had 16 teams win a championship, compared to 14 in the NHL, 13 in the NFL and 12 in the NBA. Although the NBA and NFL have had caps for decades, 22 active teams still haven’t won a championship between those two sports, including several small-market clubs.

Greed and stupidity are the defining features of ownership: MLB is flying high. Why does it seem to be barreling toward a work stoppage? nytimes.com/athletic/68157…

MBS starved hundreds of thousands in Yemen, had a US journalist dismembered, and ordered record executions. But Trump welcomed this murderer to the WH. Some of the wealthiest people in America joined him. Trump is signaling support for worldwide oligarchy & authoritarianism.

Don’t believe the Yaz to the Marlins rumors. They are ridiculous.
