Yes, we must teach kids how to read, write, and do math... But one of the most important things we must infuse is how to be a learner. The world is always changing and they need to be able to adapt. #teachergoals

Report cards are misleading because most grading systems treat mastery as an afterthought. Letter grades are built on a mixture of effort, completion and a little mastery on the side. We need to empower educators with instructional models that truly employ mastery-based grading.

Report card grades are often deeply misleading, offering families false confidence that their children are well-prepared for their futures when they’re not. READ MORE of Dan's latest piece on the blog now: ow.ly/WtRx50ypHH5 #MYTNTP #TNTPReads #DansDesk #EdPolicy

Teacher burnout is real. There are no quick fixes. It cannot be solved by band-aids that lead to short term relief but fail to create enduring change. Educators will begin to find their jobs more sustainable when they are able to use their time more efficiently and effectively.

Making learning fun means integrating play into teaching. 🥳💪🏼🧠✏️ What did we all do as kids? Play. How can we interest our students? Play. Don’t be afraid to be silly & have fun when building positive attitudes in education no matter how old your students!

A fun way to help your students get a concrete example of 2D & 3D figures, Area, and Volume! #tutoring #math #3D
