When money becomes weak, people monetize other scarcer things instead. In other words, they add a monetary/savings premium on top of utility things due to storing extra wealth in them, which distorts markets and is not good for people who need those things for their utility.
If October 2022 was a cyclical bottom, as technical evidence suggests, it would be highly unusual if July 2023 was a cyclical top. Why? Because cyclical advances consume more time. SPX is barely maintaining healthy breadth, however, questioning the cyclical-bull-market thesis.
