Things I love about Japan, the history from The beginning to how it connects to Shinto and food culture the appreciation of imperfection things how the past blends with the modern. How I can just exist and live in a country that lines up with my beliefs
I fell in love with the island over 20 years ago and for the first time this year for 6 months I got to live within it and I never been so happy I wish I could of seen Japan during the 80s and 90s I hear such stories and I’m a strong believer in keeping the Japanese spirit alive
Foreigners want Japan to change and be like everywhere else and that thought scares me because I love the culture and traditions of my own sure maybe we need a better work life balance and to fix the rising cost of food. But Japan should not change its ways to please the west
Being home sick, has taught me a lot of lessons about myself and where I truly belong. Every day I think about my home in Japan how I miss getting up early for my Japanese breakfast how I miss my daily night strolls in the streets of Tokyo.
My thoughts and prayers are with the people in Japan right now. I miss the island in which I called home for 6 months it was amazing being able to achieve my dream of living in the place I idolized throughout my youth. My hope is to return one day.
