In a devastating blow to irreplaceable habitats, Lib Dems backed an amendment to the Planning Bill to protect our chalk streams — but it fell because the Tories failed to support it. Their inaction speaks louder than any promise on the environment. votes.parliament.uk/votes/lords/di…

High streets are struggling, with pubs, restaurants and cafés shutting their doors. Cutting VAT on hospitality and energy would put money back in people’s pockets, support local jobs, and give the country a much-needed boost.

The news that a national lockdown could have been avoided is shattering. Kemi Badenoch should apologise on behalf of the Conservatives. People will never forgive them for partying while they left the country vulnerable and grieving.
