Last week I had a job interview (a group interview). I was quieter then some of the others, I needed help from staff to put a form into a plastic pocket & I was the slowest at the maths test.. but I tried my best & got involved. I found out last night I have got the job. #Autism
Hi everyone! It’s been a long time, sorry for this. I have been putting my focus on caring for animals. I rescued 2 kittens back in April. This changed my routine which took some getting used too but it’s been a joy seeing them grow & thrive. How’s everyone been? #Autism
I have 2 special interests, Pokémon & animals. As a teenager I wanted to share this but found it hard to fit in. Last year I got a job as an animal care manager, this week my team surprised me with a Pokémon card!. To be in a accepting environment is a great feeling #Autism
Since I was young, my special interest has always been animals. In November I became a manager in animal care & it’s a job I never expected to achieve. As a child I had a teacher who encouraged my passion & believed in me. Today I received this card from her❤️ #Autism
From the child who didn’t speak in lessons to the adult who has begun her teaching journey!. I still get anxious but my confidence is slowly improving. My teaching was assessed the other day as part of my teacher training course & I received this lovely feedback😁👍 #Autism
Today we finally got to go to the beach! Dad & I haven’t been able to do anything in so long, as he is vulnerable & we have to be so careful. Great to be back to a place which makes us feel so calm.😁 @Crasstafari (dont worry theres grass on the other side of the wall!)
Growing up, many people doubted me but some people saw something in me. The other day I received this lovely message from someone who met me many years ago & supported me. She was a teacher, now a colleague but more importantly a friend for life. #AutismAcceptanceMonth #Autism
Growing up, I didn’t have the social skills to have friends. I become obsessed with animals & Pokemon, they became my special interests. My friend recently painted me this beautiful Pokemon painting. As an adult I’m lucky to have friends to share my interests with. #Autism
2020 threw me out of my comfortable routine, I felt anxious. As I’m sure many others did. This change & uncertainty pushed me to apply for a job I’ve wanted for years. Since getting my new job I go into 2021 open minded & motivated. Happy new year everyone & stay safe #Autism
A few years ago working in customer service wasn’t an option for me. Working in customer service this past year hasn’t been easy, but I’ve enjoyed it more then I could ever imagine. Today I handed in my notice for a new job & I received this wonderful feedback. #Autism
Rain or shine it’s always a joy to see the girls!🐴 thought I’d share this video with you that I took earlier in the week.
I haven’t always been the easiest sister growing up, every holiday, shopping trip or plan we had was based around my needs. I didn’t hug you or play very well but you never complained. Today I made sure your 21st birthday was all about you. Happy birthday James. 🎉💖 #Autism
What did I miss most when being in lockdown? Sitting by a river in the sun😍 lots of things are different and my life had quite a dramatic change over the past 4 months (I’m sure you can all relate!). Thankfully some things have not changed & it’s good to be back. #Autism
Did you know koalas can sleep to up to 18-22 hours per day? The other week I got to see koalas for the very first time!. This is something I have always wanted to do & I captured this lovely koala on video so I thought I would share.
I am an Autistic adult who struggles to have anything on my face, my sunflower lanyard will be more important to me than ever before. Remember: kind, be patient & look out for the sunflower lanyard while shopping/travelling.😊🌻 thank you @GWRHelp for spreading the word #Autism
I’m 25 today. Reflecting on the past 25 years & its crazy how things change, from the child who stayed indoors & only spoke to animals. To an adult who speaks to animals but embraces the outdoors & everything that comes with it (people included!). Excited for the future😊 #Autism
Happy Father’s Day to my incredible dad, in a crazy world he enjoys nothing more than to take photographs of our beautiful countryside to post online. He does this purely to put a smile on someone’s face. My positivity & love for nature certainly comes from you. @Crasstafari
