Tell me how the team that lost at Swansea (and it’s issues) are addressed by this transfer window? Aubameyang replaces Lacazette who takes Giroud’s place as impact sub. Needs more than that surely?

Given Giroud scored more headed goals than any other player in PL history playing for a side so committed to playing it on the deck, one can only wonder what he might do in a team where pragmatism/mixing up the play comes more easily. #underrated

Mahrez patently isn't worth £95m even in today's inflated market... but he is perhaps worth that to LCFC at this point in the season; return to Europe not out of the question; he's a key player for them. Just one who doesn't want to be there.

Arsenal have now let players go to Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester Utd in the last six months. Is the best way to claw a route back into the top four? Somehow felt better when we were providing a regular supply of mercenaries to Man City.

On the flip side... I guess, syllablisitically speaking AFC are going to make a lot more from shirt sales going forward with the rush for #Mkhitaryan and #Aubameyang embellished garments.

Predict someone is going to come in with a cut-price rescue package for Mahrez in next few hours. Second failed attempt to exit Midlands within a year. Maybe another bid from Roma (have a bit of extra cash now)... or PSG (useful squad player for them)

Agree that Arsenal in dire need of early spring-cleaning/January squad detox... Walcott - yes; Coquelin - sure. But Iwobi and Welbeck are far more obviously deadwood/dead weights than Giroud. Aubameyang is going to have to hit the ground running a lot faster than Lacazette has!

Lacazette and Aubameyang may well form a prolific attacking partnership; but I'd be amazed if it all comes together this season. Giroud still had a big part to play imho

Apart from Sanchez - obviously - Giroud has been one of the few sound signings up front by Arsenal in the last 10 years. And he gave the team sth different. If Aubameyang gets injured - back to square one.

Really hope this Luiz to Arsenal rumour is just that. We've had enough bad hair days of late.
