Starting at 2 PM PDT on September 1st, login and registration for Conductor and the LibreTexts Libraries will be paused for rollout of our new single-sign on solution, LibreOne. All existing public content will remain accessible during this time.
2. When a student enters through an LMS a session key is generated. If a student tries to enroll in a LMS course but they don't have this key, they'll get a message to log into their LMS and provide the access code there. This will reduce multiple student accounts issues.
We've uploaded a few changes that will reduce issues: 1. LMS students will no longer be able to see their assignments through ADAPT. Instead there's a message for them to log into their LMS to view them.
Two updates to searching in ADAPT: 1) You can now search for algorithmic or reports in Search Questions 2) You can optionally reset the nodes within a learning tree if they are algorithmic in nature and the student answers the node incorrectly.
A central philosophy of the LibreTexts is to build an effective and centralized corpus of OER (the opposite of independent fragmented approaches). Part of this is effective curation and ADAPT was just expanded with a versioning system to facilitate this. More information to come.
Yippie! ADAPT just logged our 1 millionth autograded question logged. We look forward to serving our second million of questions this academic year.
ADAPT was just expanded with versioning so that each save of a problem is a version in the database. Some users now have two saves: "Save and Propagate" and "Save and Notify". The former propagates the new version to all users of that problem & the other requires explicit review.
The ADAPT phone app will be released next month for public testing (both Android and iOS). As with the ADAPT web app, it integrates H5P, IMathAS (tech of MyOpenMath), WebWork and much more. This phone app doubles as a in-class polling system too. screenrec.com/share/XB987eA5…
Instructors can now search ADAPT question bank for webwork code written in either pgml or pl.
There is now a persistent summary table for what students get correct/incorrect (real time or delayed with solutions released)
We have been building into ADAPT an infrastructure to use ChatGPT to aid in grading of chemistry lab reports and test driving it in @LibreTexts current gen chem class. More honing of the prompts is needed to optimize this, but we are getting there. Contact us for details.
New Feature: Assignment dates can be shifted automatically using a new "first assignment due date" as the reference point for all other dates. This makes it easier to reuse complex multi-assignment courses in new terms without massively painful redating due and open dates/times.
Today's ADPT Updates (2/2) * Made it so that students can't see solutions if they currently have submission overrides * Added in the expand functionality to question windows * Added a warning to students if they have uploaded a compiled PDF but haven't yet assigned to questions
Today's ADAPT updates (1/2): * Fixed a bug where matching wasn't showing feedback * Added the I Give Up functionality to native questions * Automatically add the 24 hour notification for a student when they enter a course
Now, when instructors create new courses, there's a whitelisted domains entry in Course Properties. Then when the student registers, they'll get an error message if they try to enroll with some other email other than one of the whitelisted domains.
FYI. New code for the "Contact Grader" was updated. * Grader notifications moved into the Grader tab * Students will have the Contact Grader availability after scores are released or solutions are available. * Auto-graded emails get sent to the section grader or instructor
Game on!!! A OEW2023 talk will showcase a partnership with the Kimberley Ernstmeyer, @OpenRN and @NextGenRN Project Director, to customize @LibreTextsADAPT to enable nursing students to practice taking Next Generation NCLEX-style formative assessments. blog.libretexts.org/2023/02/02/lib…
We just added an option to get the direct links to assignments (under properties) to make life easier for students to get their homework (e.g., integrate as a module into Canvas) or via email.
The new Framework Aligner is live in ADAPT. Now we can take our analytics to the next level of fun.
Both the Course and Assignment Gradebooks have been updated with 2 new options. (1) "Time on task" shows you how much time students have spent on a particular question during submission. (2) "Time in review" shows you how much time students spend on the question reviewing.
