Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that #evidence based decision making applies in all professions except @OntPharmacists where doctor driven anecdotal evidence reigns supreme? This is shameful denigration of an entire profession. Twenty years of safety in AB is EVIDENCE.

I treat offenders in the correctional system. When they are freed, they are just thrown out on the street. Many of them are on psychiatric meds which they can’t pay for upon release. Why not give them benefits? It’s so sad. Many of them end up in shelters, ill because of no meds

Spread the word! Starting Jan. 1, Ontarians will be able to visit pharmacies across the province to receive treatment for common ailments at no cost. Expanding the ability of pharmacists to provide care is one way we’re making it more convenient to access care in the community.

I believe it will alleviate some of the pressure on health care providers and the stress on patients in Ontario. We have the knowledge and expertise to assess patients and make recommendations, including prescribing where appropriate.

Is it common knowledge that pharmacists in Ontario will be given the legal authority to prescribe for 13 minor ailments starting in January 2023? Pharmacists in many other provinces have been doing it for years. We look forward to the privilege!
