The IFT Local 683 Education Foundation NFP aims to support the students and teachers of Thornton Fractional District 215.
Trivia Night 2026 tables are on sale! Tables of 8 are $240 and include pizza & an open bar. All money raised will be used to provide scholarships to D215 graduates pursuing careers in education. Email all questions to [email protected]

Trivia Night 2026 will be Feb. 28 from 6-10 pm at Kasey's Banquet Hall in Lansing, IL. There will be trivia, raffles, games, and more! All money raised will be used to provide scholarships to District 215 graduates pursuing careers in education. Tables will go on sale next week.
Thank you to everyone who supported our foundation, our students, and our graduates in 2025! We have even bigger things planned for the new year, and we hope to see you at Trivia Night on Feb. 28, 2026.
The IFT Local 683 Education Foundation NFP is a 501(c)3 organization. Our mission is to provide scholarships to D215 graduates pursuing a career in education, to assist students facing food insecurity & to support teachers in providing innovative educational experiences.
Thank you to everyone who made November's "Dine Out for a Cause" a SUCCESS! We were able to raise $500 for District 215 students facing food insecurity! Thank you to Wendy's for supporting our mission as well!
On Tues., Executive Director Joe Stephan introduced our latest scholarship winner, Ms. Cunningham, to the Board of Education. Ms. Cunningham, a TFN graduate, is the current ISS coordinator at TFN and a member of Local 943.

We are proud to announce our next group of Future Teacher Scholarship recipients: Mariyah Reed, Kenan Maxey, and Diego Pantoja. Each was awarded a $500 scholarship at today's Future Teacher Summer Academy closing ceremony.
