Costly Rehab for the Dying Is on the Rise at Nursing Homes, a Study Says (Published 2018)
Patients near death are increasingly getting high levels of physical, occupational and speech therapy, raising questions about the true purpose of such services.
Here is a great article on nursing homes charging for rehab for end of life patients. What the author neglects, though, is the fact that many people at end of life cannot afford home care and if you are not getting rehab at a skilled nursing facility, you cannot stay there.
