Spoke to the prosecutor today. My ex wants the domestic violence charge to be brought to a jury trial. Tentatively set for September. Gonna have to sit in front of a bunch of strangers and tell my story while trying to not to give him satisfaction of me being emotional. Great.

I don’t understand why a victim of domestic assault has to provide the photos that they’re using as evidence TO THE PERSON THAT DID IT TO THEM. Thats traumatic. He shouldn’t get the satisfaction of seeing those images let alone having hard copy access to them to show and brag on.
“Unfortunately no cameras in the area were able to capture the incident” - probably the most gut wrenching sentence I’ve heard in a while. What is the point of surveillance and traffic cameras if you can’t rely on them for shit.
Nothing like being assaulted by your ex you haven’t been with or seen in 2 years. It’s sad that a 33 year old thinks it’s cute to throw drinks on people but even worse when he starts to follow you and then pepper sprays you multiple times and laughs while doing so.
