The Cerritos holds an Anbo-jyutsu tournament for shore leave. Mariner, Boimler, and Rutherford all enter; with Tendi on medic duty. Brad and Sam fight well, but lose in the semi-finals. Beckett prevails to the final, only to discover her foe is the fiercest of all; Jennifer.
Boimler enters the Cerritos Marksmanship competition and is determined to win. He trains daily for weeks. Tired of hearing him talk about it, Mariner enters at the last second. They tie for second, only being beat by an anonymous duo going by 'Tendiford'
To celebrate the two-year anniversary of #StarTrekLowerDecks and the upcoming crossover, here's a little comic—based on a script by @CEOofStarTrek and a sketch by me, brought to life by the amazing talent of @Serial02721 —that revisits one of the show's most iconic scenes!
As a fan of #startreklowerdecks this is disappointing.
Mike McMahan, the show's creator, led the morning roast of #preWGA tweets. He would screenshare and bring up the tweets he wanted to make fun of. Josh Bycel, the showrunner, made the homophobic comments that I reported to Sydney Ryan, the producer, who helped retaliate against me
On earth, the gang stays at Boimler's family vineyard. Rutherford fixes a heirloom tractor that hasn't run in 300 years. Mariner drinks her weight in wine. Tendi chases and insists on scanning the family dog. #StarTrekLowerDecks #subplotsfam
Tendi and Rutherford instantly become enthusiastic adopters. Boimler, despite his initial resistance, through a series of Bradwardunate events accidentally gets it enshrined as the official Federation designation

It's #FirstContactDay and Freeman throws a shindig. Ransom makes his (in)famous salmon. The stereo won't work and musicians volunteer while Billups fixes it. Everyone is confused by Boimler's Brown Eyed Girl rendition but Mariner quite likes it. #StarTrekLowerDecks
Boimler gets an extra week of shore leave from currying favor with Ransom. After spending it on Wrigley's pleasure planet, he brings gifts. A 4000-in-1 multi tool for Sam, a cyberpunk compact disc for Tendi, and a monogrammed Mek'leth for Mariner. #StarTrekLowerDecks
Falling for one of Mariner's pranks, Boimler starts skipping around the ship, thinking it's more efficient. Tendi believes it to be a new human custom and joins in. Soon the entire Cerritos follows suit. Freeman doesn't stop it because it is in fact quicker. #StarTrekLowerDecks
The Cerritos' holodecks are down and the crew have flocked to the bowling alley. After competing for days, Mariner and Boimler are equally skilled. Tendi has never played before but still beats them. Rutherford adjusts the initial dampeners so Lane three always strikes.
Boimler creates a holoprogram to talk with the Federation's greatest philosophers. Before he can use it however, Mariner changes it into a poker game. Playing Texas Hold 'em with Vulcans isn't as much fun as she thought. #StarTrekLowerDecks
Tendi takes a xeno-anthropology correspondence course, and the topic is Human Culture. For Halloween, Mariner shows her pumpkin carving (and her wide array of knives). Boimler can't decide on a costume. Rutherford takes her apple picking on the holodeck #StarTrekLowerDecks
Mariner calls Rutherford "too soft" and dares him to be adventurous. Taking the bait, he pranks Billups by hiding his prized plant. It backfires when Billups shuts down life support and holds the ship hostage. Tendi becomes penpals with a schoolkid back home. #StarTrekLowerDecks
We have a cool new ship in this week's Lower Deck's finale: the USS Archimedes, an Obena class ship. Inspired by the Excelsior class (which is still in service) but larger with some other changes. #starfleetstuff
Freeman stages a play, claiming the arts are lacking on her ship. Jen directs, being the only experienced actor aboard. Brad and Beckett are cast as Romeo and Juliet, while Sam and D'Vana volunteer to understudy. Ransom is instantly cast as Mercutio. #StarTrekLowerDecks
