I just learned that the new pharmacare CGM program for kids requires the family and specialist to fill out forms and apply EVERY YEAR. This program is for Type 1 diabetics only. A chronic condition with NO CURE. Managing a child’s diabetes is tough. Why purposely make it harder?

#fingerprickchallenge I started the finger prick challenge today. My reading was 5.2. The glucose meter told me to eat an apple before a meal. @nscoveraget1d
The difference compared in one year between covering a CGM and covering fingerpricks is just $276.00. It’s even less of a difference when covering a flash glucose monitor “FGM”. We need better coverage now! #nsfingerprickchallenge
