DCE and OSP attended a pre-bid for the Historic St. Mary’s City Commission project, planned to transform the Visitor Center into Education & Artisan Centers! The team toured the site, explored historic building reproductions, and saw Maryland’s early history come to life.
DGS joined state agency partners and project collaborators for a walkthrough of State Center and the surrounding area. The visit is part of early planning for the State Center redevelopment, ensuring it reflects community needs and maximizes the area’s potential.

Connecting with Maryland’s small businesses at the 10th Annual Governor’s Small Business Outreach Summit! Secretary Chaudhry joined as a keynote speaker, and DGS staff are sharing opportunities and resources for small, minority, women, and veteran-owned businesses.
The 10th Annual Governor’s Small Business Outreach Summit is underway! DGS Secretary Atif Chaudhry delivered opening remarks to kick things off, welcoming attendees and setting the stage for a productive and inspiring day.
Secretary Atif Chaudhry joined Comptroller Brooke Lierman and staff last week to celebrate the Comptroller’s Baltimore County office move to a location in Windsor Mill. DGS partnered on the project to provide better space and resources for the 10,000+ taxpayers served annually!
The DGS Capital Grants program strengthens Maryland communities by funding projects that expand services and improve quality of life. At Calvert Health Foundation, this funding brought in a surgical robot—advancing care, reducing complications, and attracting top medical talent!
