This is the penultimate station, which will be used for student recording. Students will be able to record stop motion movies using various Legos and mini figs or use the green screen to create their own videos in some exotic location. @MemorialSTEM @LEFforLISD #LEFGrants

We also had our 2nd Read Across Memorial Event @MemorialSTEM where fabulous parents and LISD district staff came to share their love of books and read aloud for our students with a total of 45 guest readers and ~100 readings. Amazing! More pics in upcoming family newsletter.

We had an incredible week @MemorialSTEM! So I'm tweeting twice in one day :o After reading a story about a family celebrating Diwali, some students took the optional rangoli LEGO building challenge and crushed it! Look to the upcoming Maverick Family Newsletter for more photos.

This week the 3rd-5th graders are coding Ozobots with block coding to run mazes they build. They’re doing great while helping them practice giving clear instructions and organizing their thinking in written sequences and problem solving when things don’t go right. @MemorialSTEM

A second grade group remembered their first design from over a month ago and set about rebuilding and improving it once they had free maker space time again today. Here is their improved design. Amazing brain power at work! #makerspacegoals @MemorialSTEM
