BLOOD DRIVE FOR MEP EMPLOYEE : MEP is appealing to the public to participate in not one, but two upcoming blood drives for MEP Manager of Billing Amanda McKenzie. First one: January 20, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Spears Clinic, Summit. Second one: MEP office, February 17.


MEP GM Darrell Smith presented a $50,000 check to Pat Brumfield, Pike County Economic Dev. District chairman, and Jill Busby, PCEDD executive director. The grant, through MEP and Cooperative Energy, will go for infrastructure improvement at the Gateway Industrial Park in Pike Co.

The SmartHub app recently went though a revamp, so information will look a little different. The app provides information from daily usage to a quick click of a button to report an outage to an easy way to pay your bill. SmartHub, is a free app that is available in the App Store.

For the convenience of our members in the Amite County area, we have a new payment center in the B-Kwik Shell on Highway 24, Liberty. The kiosk takes several forms of payment. This kiosk joins two others – one here at the MEP drive-through, and one at Market Max in Tylertown.
