I think a huge part of the Magic’s “great” D was slowing down the pace (so at least partially an illusion) and Mose’s ability to get the team to play hard. The slow pace was killing the offense. They don’t play hard for him anymore. Seems like it’s time to make a change imo.
Orlando has the 8th worst defensive rating in the NBA the last 10 games. I think it’s fair to raise questions about how much of this team’s defensive identity was always built on playing at the slowest pace in the league, and Franz/Suggs/WCJ individual ability.
