The iPhone Upgrade Program is expanding to the UK and China too. Order #iPhone7 and #iPhone7Plus this Fri 9 Sept, ship Fri 16.
No explicit word on whether the #iPhone7Plus is the same price as 6s Plus.
iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are now the mid-range models, in 32GB and 128GB for the first time.
iPhone 7 costs the same (in the US, at least) as the 6s. All storage capacities have doubled: 32GB, 128GB and 256GB. Jet Black only 128/256.

New GPU: six-core and 50% faster than A9, 3x faster than A8. 2/3 power of A9, 1/2 of A8. 240x GPU performance of original iPhone.
Apple-designed performance controller decides which processors run on which cores with perf or battery life in mind.
iPhone 7 claimed to be 120 times faster than the original iPhone. Other two cores are high-efficiency cores that run at 1/5th power.
Four-core CPU with 3.3 billion transistors. Two high-performance cores running 40% faster than A9, or 2x faster than the A8 on iPhone 6.
Point 10 is performance. Schiller is bigging up Apple’s achievements in this area. #iPhone7 has a new chip: A10 Fusion.
Point 9 (of 10, no doubt) is Apple Pay. New countries supporting it, including Japan. #iPhone7 and Watch 2 in that country will incl Felica.
Beats today introduces Beats Solo3 Wireless and Powerbeats3 Wireless, both with the Apple W1 Chip, along with BeatsX range – more affordable
AirPods last for five hours, and there’s a charger in their case; plug in Lightning connector to case to charge it and the EarPods.
To set up AirPods, put them near your iPhone, iOS asks if you want to connect them, and that’s it. Also works with Apple Watch.
The wireless AirPods feature an Apple W1 processor for a more reliable connection. Lots of clever tech such as mics and accelerometers.
However, there’s more: wireless audio. Apple says it’s going to fix the problems this faces by creating a new product: Apple AirPods.
