“I have had cafe staff gossip about me and use #ableist words when they think I can’t hear them.” Did you know that 75 per cent of #disabled people have left an establishment because it was #inaccessible? Watch this to help businesses recoup their losses 💸youtu.be/H7qsUbQYQMw

Hi everyone, the Warwickshire Empowerment Service (which ran Made for Me) ended last week 😞 but we will be keeping this page running so that you can look back on old tweets if you ever need to! Thank you all - from the M4M minions

If you're in Stratford upon Avon and fancy some FREE cake, pop along to @Escape_Arts between 1:30 - 4:30pm. With the assistance of @MadeForMeWES you'll also find out how small changes can ensure everyone has a warm welcome to all spaces. #Inclusion #MadeForMe #StratfordUponAvon

There is always time for reflection. These are some of our online group's WES highlights. #MadeForMe

Don't forget this is coming up next week! #GetInvolved The @MadeForMeWES team would love to see you there to share how inaccessible spaces don't have to stay that way 👇 #Accessibility #Disability #SystemsChange

The WES members want to show non-Disabled people what life is like for Disabled people and how seemingly small issues could stop us being able to join in! If you fancy spending a moment in our shoes, then join us on the 16th March at @Escape_Arts Stratford to learn more!

This can be really helpful for autistic candidates as well!

Thanks for this @RossCalladine, our team and @MadeForMeWES campaigners will appreciate it! It seems #CakeForAll is a popular hashtag - really liking it when it genuinely means cake for ALL 🙌 #accessibility #inclusion #equality

When you use hashtags with multiple words and don't include capital letters screen readers get confused, and then so do people who use screen readers. A quick tip that can make a big difference #AccessibilityTipOfTheWeek

Going to throw this out there to @joelycett because we need a good egg with some clout to see the work that CYA are doing and give them some support and pointers

Hey @richardearley and DavidMiles, we sent you a gift & an invite to work with us to make @facebookapp safer! Unfortunately, we haven't heard back from you so thought we'd take to social media to see if this reaches you, how about a cuppa? #FacebooHasNoStandards @FacebookLondon

Don't overcomplicate things! If 3 words will do, don't use 20. This is helpful for everyone: it makes things more accessible for people who struggle to understand complicated language, and it's quicker and easier for others. It just makes sense. #AccessibilityTipOfTheWeek

I’m not interested in hearing how your cousin’s neighbour’s friend got rid of their headaches by eating less bread: if I wanted some advice and tips I would ask for them. If I don’t ask, don’t tell - it’s my disability #AccessibilityTipOfTheWeek
