It had a theme. That through technological breakthroughs and cultural cooperation, we could build a better world. But guests don’t want to be told they can be better. They want to be told they are special and the Star of the attraction instead of a small part of the solution.

This is beyond disgusting, beyond disrespectful, and I just cannot believe something like this exists in this century. Shame on the school for this disgraceful routine, and honestly, shame on Disney allowing it at all and not stopping it when it started. This is not ok.

I'm just going to predict right now that someday, not necessarily in the near future, being a local or staying at a WDW resort will be required to visit the WDW parks. I think eventually required packages will be the new norm.
Just saw a video for the Illuminarium coming to Vegas, and couldn't shake the feeling that it has a bit of a Black Mirror vibe. Still looks fun though.

I'm starting to think you can judge a show or attraction not by what those who didn't like it say, but by how much people have to stretch to defend it. I also feel, based on experience, if a show is truly good, it plays well in-person and on camera. #enchantment #harmonious
I for sure think that businesses need to evolve to survive, but I question the wisdom in shoehorning IPs where they don’t belong. We actually did a whole podcast episode on this exact thing. I think IPs can be done well, like Ratatouille in France. But GotG is a risky move.

The Lost Island Theme Park coming to Waterloo, IA next year just released a new park map. They also uploaded a video to their website revealing the name to each realm (land) of the park. Appears to be well themed. thelostisland.com/lost-island-th…
Another criticism I have had of the Disney Stores for a long time, even after adding limited entertainment. They aimed only for kids. As Walt could have told them, if you aim only for kids, you’re dead. And now they are.
Ours had some entertainment elements, and that’s what drew us into the store, although it wasn’t nearly as much as you’re suggesting (which sounds cool!). They had a back are with a big screen that the kids could operate with a touch pad to play music videos from Disney films.+
