While in downtown Berlin, check out @BurleyOak Despite being from a small town, this brewery's beers can be bought all over the state but there is nothing better than straight out of the tap. As sour drinkers, we highly recommend the Jelly Not Jam or J.R.E.A.M. series #BerlinMD
Sometimes the hidden gems are just off of Main Street. A perfect example is the French Twist Cafe on Oklahoma Ave in Sykesville. The smell of French crepes and gourmet coffee await you as you walk the door. Don't leave Main Street without this quick detour!
No breweries on Mainstreet Sykesville but have no fear, @1623Brewing is a mere 10 minutes away and a perfect way to end a day of shopping! They have their standards (Pilsner, Hefezweizen, Stout) on tap, but you have to get there quick to try some of their specialty beers.
Founder, Scott Jendrek, was on site and was welcoming guests. It was great to hear about his business while sipping on a hand-crafted cocktails made from their Bluefin Vodkda, JP Gin, and Old Defender single malt whiskey. Thank you @Patapsco_Distilling for an unique experience.
One of the great things about Main Streets is that shop owners are often on site. Design of Mind owners welcomed us into their store, which sells their custom build furniture including amazing farmhouse tables. They also support local artists shop! Follow on IG @DesignofMind2021
