Words matter. It wasn't a "protest." It was an attempted coup. It wasn't a "riot." It was coordinated. Trump didn't just "stir them up." He repeatedly told them the election was fraudulent, summoned them to DC, fueled their rage, and encouraged them to storm the Capitol.
I don't understand. $ 600 is it?? In New Zealand we got $600 every week for months until we were all back at work. Our little country can do it and the wealthiest country in the world can't?? WTAF
What a hypocrite! While Trump makes hateful & racist rants about how immigrants are “bad” for the country, the undocumented immigrants he hired to work at his country clubs paid more in federal income taxes than Trump. What's bad for the country? Billionaires who don't pay taxes.
The mainstream media doesn't talk about it. Congress doesn't talk about it. Trump doesn't talk about it. But three multi-billionaires now own more wealth than the bottom half of our society. That level of inequality is immoral and unsustainable.

Universal health care was part of the Democratic party platform until 1980. The 2020 platform proposes lowering the Medicare age to 60, worse than 2016. Moving away from a profit-based health care system is the moral issue of our time. I'm voting NO. commondreams.org/views/2020/08/…
