mapmaker tips: the latter picture is much more efficient, especially if you have a lot of entities in the world (function baz is a separate file, I just wanted to keep it in the same picture) Try to not use @e s if possible.
Of course, this would be assuming that your server has been kept at a steady 20 ticks per second without a single moment of downtime. Seeing as this is rarely the case, there's still time to refresh your area effect clouds. #saveyouraecs

When giving information to a player in a Minecraft game, don't put more text in the chat box than it will display without expanding. Don't expect that players know to go into the chat to get the first part of what you wanted to tell them. Convey your information differently.
Just a reminder that all Mojang system emails are sent from @Mojang.com domain. If you did not request any changes to your account, you can always double-check where emails are sent from and if it is actually from us.
This is not only a good idea to make your custom models fit the Minecraft aesthetic, but a lower amount of cubes will also be faster to render. This is especially noticeable on lower-end computers.
Pro tip for people that are making mobs for Minecraft: Remove atleast 80% of your cubes! Less cubes is better. Simple, more Minecraft. Put the details in the texture!
Difficulty scaling exists and should be calibrated for the kinds of players you want to play your content. Starting at a lower difficulty lets veteran players blow through it, but it teaches newer players and provides them with a sense of accomplishment as they hone their skills.
When making Minecraft maps (or games), consider if you're making it for yourself and friends or a wider audience. If you're pro at parkour and your very first jumps are max distance and slime blocks, you're going to immediately lose most of your players.

Create a low-gravity moon level by combining slow falling and jump boost effects.
When building a Minecraft world, it's helpful to set up a backstory. Even if you don't tell that story directly, you can imply a lot with how land is used, what buildings are there, which items have been discarded. Set up a story and you can keep all of your elements consistent.
I'm expecting this will mostly impact server update scripts, more than anything else. So if your custom script just doesn't update to any new things (like 1.13) then that'll be why!
All version, library, etc URLs can be obtained by following that json file. If you're creating a url for anything manually then you're doing something wrong and that may break at any time.
Developers: We are officially deprecating s3.amazonaws.com/Minecraft.Down… today. It will not receive any new versions or updates, but existing files will remain for now. Please update your scripts to use launchermeta.mojang.com/mc/game/versio… instead. We will remove the old url by the end of the year.
