Per @DOEChancellor my child is soaring and per @NYCMayor my child has swagger with only 2 actual teachers out of 7 in attendance.
Youngest came home saying their class of 7 students had the highest attendance 🤦🏽♀️. I guess that’s what @NYCMayor @NYCMayorsOffice means by swagger.
Why is the notion of providing a remote learning OPTION (not a mandate to close schools) so threatening to so many? I’m no longer the parent of children in our public schools (they’ve graduated) but am interested in understanding the resistance to giving families a choice.
For parents who do not want to send their children to school right now, @NYCSchools must fully support them, ensuring that classwork is accessible online for those who feel sick or unsafe, or have exposures and need to test. All communications must be language accessible. 6/7
Just plain ridiculous that surrounding areas are remote but @NYCSchools still in person.
