Tell Governor Carney: Don't Back Out Of Clean Air Policies! act.sierraclub.org/actions/Delawa…

Having now heard Rep. Pete Schwartzkopf and Del. Park CEO Bill Fasy speak about the expansion of local casinos, I have some thinking to do.

Don't forget the Brandywine River Museum Antiques Show this weekend. It's a lovely event, one of the best in the area.

Two weeks without Tweeting? (Prof Spiker will be disappointed.) Best of Delaware is all done. Look for it soon.

There was a fire at the classic La Casa Pasta, though no injuries, thank God. Check abc.com. We wish the Martuscelli family all the best.

Welcome, Beverly. Delaware Hospice is a very special group of people. Thanks for all you do.

It was a privilege to meet philanthropist Adrienne Arsht at the Nemours Bright Start! reception at the Wilmington Club last night.

Some Point-To-Pointers must be very happy the deluge waited until today to visit. Two soggy years in a row would have been too much.

Best of Delaware madness is in full swing. Did your favorites make the list? We're always open to suggestions. Read all in the July issue.

I'm looking forward to the Delaware Press Association Awards dinner tonight. Delaware Today didn't do badly in this year's contest at all.

Only in Delaware (and Kennett): After listening to Governor du Pont on Thursday, I bumped into him at Longwood on Saturday. Small town.

It was my great privilege to introduce UD president Pat Harker at the BBB's annual dinner last night, and a real pleasure to chat a bit.

The Rare Plant Auction for the Delaware Horticultural Center at Longwood Gardens was fabulous. I took many notes for bidding next year.

History Maker Pete du Pont is a witty man, as his speech last night showed exceedingly well. As he would say, "That's a pretty good thing."

Looking forward to the Historical Society's History Makers Award Dinner at the Chase Center tonight. Pete du Pont is a very worthy honoree.

Bill Fasy makes a good case for not increasing casinos. It'll be interesting to hear Peter Schwarzkopf counter at the next Committee of 100.

The Committee of 100 will hear about casinos at the University and Whist Club tonight. It should be verrrrry interesting.

The WOW gala for the Delaware AIDS Consortium really is one of the best parties going—touching, fun and really well done. Thanks, Clarion.

No downpour is going to stop me fro feasting at Meals From the Masters.
