My opponent shares a lot of numbers and stats, but there’s one number she hasn’t highlighted: 0. Zero days working in a North Carolina public school; zero days enrolling her children in them. That's an important stat.
What influences achievement? While teacher autonomy is important, accountability is necessary to ensure students are being given the opportunity to be successful in spite of their individual circumstances.

There are two types of decisions. 1. We use data to make our decision and set criteria for success, or 2. We use words like “feel” to inform the decision and hope it works. Success isn’t replicated by the outcome but by understanding the decision behind the success. #leadership

Here We Go! A lot of things are contributing to the crazy circumstances we find themselves in. Control what you can control and focus on your students. Love them, teach them, have patience with them, and let them know you care about them and can't wait to see them.
