This is why we're building wasp.sh - a new, truly full-stack framework. Devs want Rails/Laravel experience for JS, but all the attempts so far have failed b/c either the timing was wrong, or the core team gave up (lost motivation, no money). We've been pushing…

it is what it is 🤷
18,000 developers have spoken 📣 and they want an open-source, batteries-included framework for JS github.com/wasp-lang/wasp

1. Took the name that DHH wanted 2. He still shared it on X What a nice guy
Looked at that first, but there's already a project called that. And I've grown to like the whimsy of O'Saasy anyway 😄 opensaas.sh
Just off another user interview. It's amazing when you get thanked multiple times for creating such a useful framework, but then also completely bashed for all the stuff which doesn't work as it should.
Repeat after me: prompts !==code. It's not deterministic nor reproducible. When somebody joins your project, they don't want to see the prompts you made. They want to see a specification of how your app works. That's exactly what the code is.
Can I ask an LLM to show me all the non-team meetings I had in the last e.g. two weeks? What's the easiest way to do it, GCal MCP?
This happened almost 5 years ago, the first community update we've ever sent. I still remember @MartinSosic and myself being amazed by hitting the milestone of 100 stars on @github Now at 18k.
Turns out I'm a 🔥🔥🔥 guy. Had higher hopes for myself but I guess this where we at.
when "I should create a new web framework" pops into your mind and won't leave
We decided to short-circuit how we do launches and do something different this time. More info coming soon 🎄
We keep hearing from folks who are not primarily devs that they find Wasp useful, and it's often their first framework. It's amazing how quickly they skill up, given they still end up using React & Node.js within Wasp.
"Rapid framework for saas that keeps all in line and let's you achieve your dreams." - @WaspLang user, recent interview
