We had a quick trip down the road to support @vernonkay on his #childreninneed ultramarathon. He is doing amazing and the children are buzzing ( some of them are refusing to wash their hands after a high five!)

Everyone here is working hard to get everything ready for the end of the term and September. The bees are no exception. They have been busy collecting the things they need to make some delicious honey for us.
What a wonderful gift from our Year 6 Leavers. This Buddy Bench will remind us of the kindness of our leavers and create a positive place for all our pupils here at MBHT. Thank you Year 6.

Members of our school choir ( and Mr Ray) had a great afternoon singing for the residents at Masson House Care Home. Everyone had a great time and we cannot wait to head back in the next few months to sing some more songs.
A huge congratulations to Ebony whose writing was selected to be part of the @YoungWritersCW Young Writer’s Anthology this year. She wrote an amazing story about a zoo and everyone here at MBHT cannot wait to see it in print.
In Collective Worship today, Hannah from MAST, told the story of David and Goliath with the children acting out the parts. The children learnt how God can protect us and is on our side. This is implied when David says, “I have the Lord on my side”.
Year 4 have been busy today making some frames for our hive. Sarah explained about all the different types of foundations used to help the bees create honey combs.
A huge congratulations to our amazing Junior cyclists who won the Grass Cycling event hosted by @Cycle_Derby and @RuralDerbysSSP !! They remained focused and sped round the course like lightning.

Some of our parents (Sarah and Sally) have been very busy over the last few weeks transforming our garden area - it is looking lovely. The new bees seem to have settled in nicely as well.
