Officers are currently dealing with disorder in Middlesbrough following a protest which started around 2pm today, Sunday 4 August 2024. A number of arrests have been made. The public is asked to avoid the area.

I served 30 years in the police - I have seen both Labour and the Tories in action Under Labour we had more police, more police stations- better resources. Under the Tories - we have seen staggering cuts, mass police station closures - high crime making communities less safe
