Great to be on GB News last night talking about the UK’s free speech crisis.
“There is a serious threat to free speech in this country. The fact that the Americans are more interested in hearing that than our own government is testament to the issue we have”. Listen to FSU Campaigns Officer @MaxHThompson on GB News.
That’s true for govt business esp when there’s a manifesto mandate. But this was a surprise private members bill, & full of massive holes which it’s quite right the Lords scrutinise properly. If it runs out of time that’s the Bill’s fault, not the Lords doing their job.
I don’t support the Assisted Dying Bill and voted against it, but it is not right for the unelected chamber to block the commons.
An official definition of Islamophobia — now repackaged as “anti-Muslim hostility” — will have a chilling effect on free speech and inflame already fragile community tensions. If the government presses ahead, it risks reintroducing Britain’s blasphemy laws and effectively…
'I dont think we'd be in this position today if we'd have elected Robert Jenrick as our leader.' Reform UK Andrew Rosindell says Robert Jenrick MP was 'thrown under a bus' by Kemi Badenoch.
Rob Jenrick said the Conservatives haven’t changed. Here’s a little reminder.
Priti Patel says migrant surge on Tories watch were “best and brightest”
It’s time for the truth.
Lord Falconer has vandalised our constitution time and again in the false name of ‘modernisation’. Now he wants to curtail scrutiny in the House of Lords because his Assisted Dying Bill can’t stand it. Nikki is right👇
Falconer, single-minded, wants to set a dangerous precedent and end the Lords as we know it: line-by-line scrutiny curtailed, peers denied the chance to speak, 90% of amendments ignored. If peers accept this for a Bill ending people's lives, what Bill could it not apply to? 1/
Lord Hermer hates Britain.
This is how bad the threat of Islamism is in the UK. Even Arab Muslim countries are restricting their children from studying in the UK. Wake up.
200 children will be put on a puberty blocker trial in the next few weeks. Some may be as young as eight. Wes Streeting has rightly said he's uncomfortable about it. He should trust his instincts and stop the trial.
"You said you wanted to ‘turn a corner’ in 2026, but instead you seem to have turned your back on the views you used to hold dear." My letter to the Prime Minister ⬇️
In 2025, the Free Speech Union handled 211 cases in which people got into trouble — either with their employer or the police — for words said on social media. Police forces across the country have adopted an increasingly overzealous approach to monitoring social media posts.…
There is stiff competition for who will take home the Grinch of the Year award in 2025. Will it be our puritanical Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer? Sainsbury’s, which removed a Christmas card from sale after a trans activist claimed to be “offended”? Or the wokearati who have…

There’s stiff competition for the Grinch of the Year Award 2025 — but my money’s on our puritanical leader, Sir Keir Starmer. Read my piece in @ConHome Home 👇

Why does nothing seem to happen anymore? 400+ quangos. Lawfare. Judicial activism. Britain has become ungovernable. Decline is a choice. Here’s how we fix it 👇
Keir Starmer has proved to be completely USELESS — but he’s been a great recruiter for @SpeechUnion. This is the most AUTHORITARIAN government in a generation, and more and more people are concerned that their right to free speech is under attack. We’ve grown from 14,000…

“The world once looked to the UK as a bastion of liberty; now we are fast becoming a banana republic.” David Lammy’s plan to all but abolish trial by jury represents the biggest assault on English liberty — particularly free speech — in over 800 years. If Lammy gets his way,…
Why has David Lammy been nicknamed Calamity? Here’s his first 100 days as Justice Secretary👇
Enjoy your flight, Prime Minister?
